League Descriptions

AFTERNOON LEAGUES:
alt

Afternoon curling is a true social activity for men and women.  We do keep score, but it's incidential to enjoying the day.  Novice and experienced curlers can be equally at home.

We curl 4 afternoons per week (Monday-Thursday) with a single draw at 1:30 p.m. each day.  We have 3 rounds per season: one of 7 or 8 weeks from late Oct. to Christmas and two of 5-7 weeks each Jan. through March.

A number of our afternoon curlers use a delivery stick rather than the traditional slide delivery.  This has enabled many to prolong their enjoyment of the game greatly.  In the past two years we scheduled true Stick Curling (2 on 2, 6, rocks, 6 ends, no sweeping) on Wednesday afternoons because of the demand for it.  We will continue this practice as interest warrants.

Afternoon play is open to both male and female adult members.  Members sign-up as individuals to play in the leagues of their choice.

EVENING LEAGUES:

These leagues operate Monday through Thursday and are open to male and female Adult Members and to Full Juniors, space permitting.  With one draw, play runs from 7-9 and with two draws, 6:30-8:30 and 8:30-10:30.

The Monday and Wednesday evening leagues are individual-entry leagues and the teams, with both male and female players, are selected by league convenors.  One draw will run from late October to mid December (the Fall session) and two draws (the Winter session), with new teams, will run from early January to mid February and mid February to the end of March.

The Tuesday evening league is open for team-entry only.Players of all skill levels are encouraged to find a team of 4 to play together as we offer one division to teams interestied in playing a more competitive game and a recreational division for teams newer to the game but still wishing to compete and have some fun! Thursday evening is both team and individual entry.  On Tuesday and Thursday evenings the season is divided into two draws, one running from late October to mid January, and the second from mid January to late March.

Learn-to-Curl program will also be offered on Wednesday evenings durling the Fall Session and, numbers depending, there will be two draws during that time.
