COVID 19 UPDATE March 15 2020

Bluenose Curling Club Members,

Today the Board of Directors made the decision to end the regular curling season effective today, Sunday March 15, 2020. This decision was made based on Nova Scotia Department of Health recommendations regarding pandemic planning and prevention of community transmission of COVID-19. This decision also follows the actions of the NSCA, other sporting associations in Nova Scotia and myriad other recreational curling clubs.

This decision was not taken lightly but, in an effort to follow recommendations to maintain social distance of one meter to help flatten the curve of the number of cases and to protect our members and the community.

Members will have an opportunity to collect their gear this week, please check in for more information to follow. The closing BBQ, AGM and Yard Sale remain in the “wait and see” category.

Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions, please reach out to one of the board members. Please take care of yourselves and each other.
